Stone, Pebble, Rock

Damn stoner, rather stone than work on that G!

Gonna waste the day away man. This may be the last free Saturday I have before I kick into SSW-practice mode.

Lazy to go out these few days. Dunno why I turned down an offer to go to Funan with my mom. She wants to pawn off the old laptop and then go to a movie. Aiya, just wanna stone at home.

The family got financial windfall sia. So lucky. Mom's pay got increment, two-fold some more. And grandma got like $5+k yesterday? How eventful. And my birthday is less than a month away :)

South Park kinda sucks now :/

flippityfloppityfoo

I can't believe I watched the whole of season 7 (-3 episodes) yesterday night. from like 2.30am - 6am, then slept and woke up 2.30pm. argh, school's on wednesday and I still have an irregular sleeping schedule.

anyway, 2007 has been good so far. i went to Vivo city for my 1st time. yes, my 1st time. I'm late/old/so-last-month/whatever. went with my family, just for a new year's outing. went to candy empire and I bought a butterfinger, a baby ruth, a 3 musketeers, 1 metre licorice (black) and licorice chews, which by the way tastes like coffee + medicine. yeah, those were what I bought for myself. only ate 1 licorice chews and the butterfinger.

then walked around vivo city, nothing much lar. finally bought a new wallet. at ripcurl, costed $70, thank god dad bought it for me. then ate dinner at fig&olive. ate creamed chicken, bro had the beef spaghetti, mom had corned beef and melted cheese sandwich and dad had mushroom soup.

then ate dessert at ben&jerry's. that place seriously reminds of raisins from southpark. like a real-life raisins (for those southpark watchers, whats the main thing about raisins? and thats what I'm speculating about ben&jerry's)
then we just sat at the seats in front of that swedish ship, götheburg. then went home, cause it was like 10.40pm then, nothing much open. and I really wanted to get a book from San Bookshop.

so quite a cool new year's day. wallet, ice cream .. chillin'. tomorrow gonna get uniform and it's my bro's birthday.

to continue with expenditure, I wanna get Jazzablanca (scores+parts) and '3' trio. maybe getting the whole Alun Cook "Surface Tension" suite (1st mvt - Try Hard, 2nd mvt - Try Harder and 3rd mvt - Jazzablanca) online from sibelius.

whoop.

happy new year, cook.

wanted to spend the day listening to Shostakovich symphonies, but was too tired from hari raya haji thing at the mosque (at andrew road), I reached home at 2.45pm .. after an antagonizing wait at the mosque. okay fine, I saw sheeps and goats get slaughtered. but used to it already, have been seeing this graphic procedure since young during hari raya haji throughout the years. so, at the mosque they give out food, nasi briyani to be specific. (the closest I can go in translating that dish is brave rice, because briyani sounds like berani which brave and nasi is rice .. so there you go, brave rice) didn't take a plate because .. okay, how do you could eat when you can smell the odor of sheep poo.. yea seriously, I was hungry but my hunger and appetite diminished upon smelling poo. so just walked around, sat and looked at animals at their last moments.

okay whatever. dont want elaborate because i.) it's boring ii.) if I posted pictures it would be graphic iii.) I dunno

uh huh, just realized the internet speed is picking up already. wasn't as laggy as yesterday .. I think like x5 better.

new year resolutions will be up tomorrow, and I'll try to do my best in keeping them. some goals I need to set myself to improve my instrument-playing so before any big-scale performance I can be fully prepared. or whatever.

--

came across the my least favourite South Park episode, which I find uber sick. Episode 814 - Woodland Critter Christmas. maybe along the lines of "hail Satan" and "blood orgy", I can say this is one disturbing episode. ok maybe the one episode with the 'The Aristocrats' joke is kinda sick, but furry cute animals that worship the devil, having blood orgies and giving birth to the anti-christ... sick dude.

woot, Alun Cook ... with Surface Tension suite, hah. think gonna order and print Jazzablanca (Alun Cook) and '3' Trio for Bassoon, Baritone Saxophone and Trombone (Jan Snoeckx) next week or something. gonna cost me like $15 + heh.

So, 2007 is coming up in another 5 minutes, so I'll take this chance to say Happy New Year in advance. To ANYONE that I have offended the past months, I am deeply sorrry. I'll try to make this new year a better one. Yup, err .. South Park Season 7 torrent's gonna be done in like 2 hours, so yeah.

goodbye, for the last time this year.

shit yo.

I used to be prejudiced to some songs. if it was sang by some band EVEN THOUGH it sounds uber cool and all .. I would hate it. But noooo, the new improved alif will now not do that.

heck, if Britney Spears made a really cool alt. rock song or decided to do some cool rendition of Flight of the Bumblebee with her voice or decided to compose a symphony in any major or minor key .. I will like it. I think.

nevermind .. just to share some cool songs

La Passio de Crist (Symphony No. 2) by Ferrer Ferran
Jazzablanca (saxophone quartet) by Alun Cook (really cool shit)
Symphony 1 - 9 & Adagio from Symphony 10 - Gustav Mahler
Dmitri Shostakovich's symphonies.
--
Rewrite by Asian Kung-Fu Generation
Coffee Shop Soundtrack by All Time Low
Out of Exile by Audioslave (pretty old but it's nice)
Susan Delgado by Blue Sky Mile (or anything by Blue Sky Mile 'cause it kicks ass anytime)

And err, anything by :
Northstar
Cassino
Days Away
Cute Is What We Aim For
Aberdeen City
The Spinto Band (I think)
Mae
Streetlight Manifesto
The Spill Canvas
The Dismemberment Plan
Anberlin
Catch 22
(just from the top of my head)

is great.

got Symphony no. 1 to 15 by Dmitri Shostakovich but but it's named wrongly as in the tags. Symphony no. 5 is written ".. in D-"

' - ' is minor? sounds like minus la, cant be minor right? So just changing the tags. Argh, getting better songs day by day and I can't sync them to my iPod.

and and hooked on South Park. yay. it's crude, vulgar, noted with sexual expression ... perfect recipe for PG13 success. It's 2D, with bad cartoons (as in bad drawing etc. etc.) but it's fricking awesome. The insults are the main part.. like "Hello gay wads, whats up?" or "Jews can't be firemen" .. (strictly quoted from South Park)

erm, maybe getting a new wallet soon, been using the current one since primary 4. close to 5 years. bravura, mazel tov whatever.

I just realized I'm spewing rubbish here but it's my blog.

ooh mom's baking cupcakes. better not have one since I'm gonna lose weight and bs. and erm, who the hell bakes at 3 in the morning. no offence for those who bake at 3 in the morning.

okok gonna rename the tags of the symphonies.
this is soo much fun.

dammit, I found my homework.

now I've gotta do them.

it is the day of today, the day of saturday, hey!

from the title of this random post, you would probably figure out I'm
1. lame
2. lame
3. bored
4. lame

from those answers, you would also figure out that it really enhances points 1, 2 & 4.
okay okay.

can't get La Passio de Crist out from my head. dunno why, it just stays there. anytime of the day, random parts of the symphony just suddenly starts playing in my head. but hey, it is a nice song. dunno if I'm ever gonna play it with another band again, probably not I guess.

wondering if I should watch Old School on Ch5, channel surf on cable or just hog the com (irritating my bro from it).

ALSO wondering how to get SNL or comedy central with my tv reception. I know its PPV but can starhub cabletv subscribers get to subscribe to SNL or comedy central or whateverthehell?
w00t, get back to me on this.

ahh, school starts on wednesday. band starts on wednesday.
I AM NOT PREPARED FOR THIS SUDDEN BAND PRACTICE. can we have like, on friday? wednesday is a bad bad day for band practice to start. I (or whoever is on this motion) need to rest/recuperate/resuscitate/relax/rewind/re(something else) after a possibly tough first day of sec 3. but of course, SYF is a few months away and we're not even good.

wait, we're not even OKAY.

SSW on saturday the 6th. first week of 2007 will be such a nice one.
I SERIOUSLY HOPE THE YANAGISAWA ARRIVES NEXT WEEK, IF NOT I'M PISSED MAN.

your new friendly, ass-kicking superhero .. PISSED MAN.

once again, proves points 1, 2 and 4 (refer to the the top)

'Nuh-uh .. I don't racks-a diciprin'

Dr. Pal : Jimmy, as you get older, your body goes through alot of changes. Certain hormones start to release as your whole reproductive system begins to awaken. And so if you like, we can take off our shirts and kiss.

Jimmy : Cck..come again ?!

Dr. Pal : Oooh hey nothing, you see? I set you off in a different tangent, got you thinking in a different way. That's what Dr. Pal is here to do, unless of course you think we should take off your shirts and kiss?

Jimmy : No, I do not want to take off our shirts and kiss.

Dr. Pal : Well then to hell with you kid, you can just deal with your problems on your own.

oh lol.

NICE ONE and one not nice one .. one one

3 weeks before Symphonie II, I stopped listening anything not wind band/classical/orchestral.
So it's been 6 days and I finally listened to my first rock/alt./whatever song.

And it's Japanese, dammit.

But it's nice lar. Heard it before, when I was an anime junkie during P6.
Rewrite by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION
When I listened to it again, I hoped the band didn't look like Malice Mizer-ish, those like that dress up like dolls and act goth, type of bands. But nope, they look like all the American bands you see. Only .. erm .. Asian..

Okay gotta collect the rest of my books and go to the Esplanade library (if I have the time) and then maybe go watch a movie or something.

I dunno.

---

dammit. this is so messed up.

I can't sync any songs into my iPod anymore because you can't sync an iPod without it's original library.

bull crap.

it's either I have to erase every bloody song in my iPod (5 gigs of songs, 4 gigs of video) or just keep it the same. Forever. Unless I scrape and find those songs.

...

Can't put Feste Romane, Rewrite, Symphonie Fantastique, Sabre Dance, Symphonic Variants, Rebroll and Mercury inside liao.

can die one y'know.

I dunno also.

No sleep, once more.

Didn't sleep yesterday night. Been doing the Semper Fidelis arrangement but I'm aborting it. Takes too long, especially transposing Tenor Sax part to Euphonium.

And finally the internet stability is back. I think.

Also, completed my first ever work (disambiguate please) .. gonna work it out with Gary and whoever interested.

Labels:

W00t indeed

Wow, spent today watching South Park episodes that I torrented.

Now, waiting for the trial version of Finale PrintMusic to finish downloading so I can arrange Semper Fidelis (or rather transpose) and Finale Notepad so I can just print work if I need to write down scores or shit.

Ahh, I'm bored. PROBABLY going out on Thursday and tomorrow. Maybe gonna check out library@esplanade after so long tomorrow. See what scores or method books they have to see if it's worth signing up. Was supposed to go today but the rain and my laziness just seem to make my feet rooted to the ground and stay there for 5 hours.

The best cartoons for me are like South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. Screw Rugrats, Spongebob (wait, maybe not.) and whatever else. This is teen-toons LMAO.

so to just give a brief passage from South Park Season 2 Episode 17 : Gnomes ..

[NSFW] .. kinda

After discovering Underwear Gnomes are real, Eric Cartman hits one of the gnomes with a stick.

Kyle : Cartman!
Cartman : What?
Kyle :
Why do you always have to hit stuff with a stick?
Cartman : Well, look at him .. He's all .. y'know .. look at him ..
[hits the gnome again]
Gnome : Is that all you got, pussy?
Cartman : WHAT?
Stan : Hey, he talked.
Cartman : Yeah, he called me a pussy .. I'm not a pussy ,you're a pussy!
Gnome : You're a pussy, pussy.
Cartman : AYE!
(bla bla bla mindless chatter)
Following gnome to village, out of the door Cartman says ..
Cartman : (mumbles) Lil' pussy gnome, don't call me a pussy .. pussy gnome ..

---

Going to Gnome's village

Gnome : Not much longer now ..
Cartman : Oh, you're taking us to your little pussy house?
Gnome : No pussy, I'm taking you to my village.
Cartman : Oh? Your pussy village?

gnomes these days...

Oh, it's Christmas.

Christmas at home. Kinda nice though. Never feels like how its portrayed in the movies. Well maybe because, erm, it's not snowing. So no need for a warm fireplace, no hot chocolate, no nothing on tv.

I'm like the South Park plot/song - "A Jew on Christmas". By the way, I'm not jewish. Yeah just because I don't celebrate Christmas in the religious kind of way, and most of time, not even just-have-fun kind of way also. So, hail Channel 5 or any other cable tv channels for having Christmas specials. Usually the local station, Ch 5, shows alot of crappy shows but I have interest in only 1 or 2 movie specials. Favourite this year? Cats and Dogs ... brings back alotta memories. Also caught Home Alone : Lost in New York on StarMovies. Man, so nostalgic ... and I can remember the tunes they play at some specific scenes. Can still remember the choir part singing and that fast melody which sounds like Aram Khacaturian's Sabre Dance.

They don't make movies like that anymore.

Anyway, people would have their turkeys or whatever extravagant dish for their lunch/brunch/dinner/lunner (lunch+dinner, I'm so smart :D) feasts. I had Myojo cup noodles - SEAFOOD FLAVOUR. Beats any turkey/chicken/fish/abalone/fois gras/truffle burger shit anyday.

Okay, just cleaned out the fan-thingy in my CPU. It's super dusty and dirty and so hard to put it back together again. Just happy my computer's running fine.

Anyhoo, I guess I'll add some more resolutions and I'll compile them and make 1 big list of resoultions/wants/to-do's.

- Double tongue faster, clearer (instrument-related please)
- Triple tongue BETTER
- strengthen embouchure
- Learn another instrument, 'cept for sax and horn
- Better french horn playing (HEH)
- Score 4-5 A's out of 8 subjects for my MYE's
- Get a B3 for Malay (I think this is too much)
- Save up and get mouthpiece by end of '07
- Get t-shirts imported (heh.)
- arrange parts for quartet before exams
- Ace first 5 tests and pass first e maths/add. maths test
- mould Gideon into a lean, mean saxophone-playing machine
- Get to know my rhythms better! (no more recordings)
- get to know time signature better
- probably get a instrument tutor? (heh, just ask TZ, SL or any SWO member. HAHA)
- I think I'll have more..
- Yeah, should be.

woot, had a nice feast and time for crappy holiday movies.

Christmas eve

Wow, can't believe it's Christmas eve. Can't believe it's been 2 days since Symphonie II ended. Ahhh, nevermind.

So after Christmas, it's the new year. So yeah, we make new year resolutions that we never keep. I made a couple of lame ass ones over the years but I think the one I will be making this year .. I'm gonna keep. I have a span of 4-5 days to think about it, before the new year comes and I'm at home on my bed watching the lame countdown party.

Just a few :
- Improve sight reading skills
- Memorize scales
- Improve on rhythm
- Get to know time signatures well
- Work on tone, intonation etc.
- Make my long tones stable and in tune
- Recognize the sharpness or flatness of my sound during play
- Get more scores
- Ability to play running notes
- FIND A BARITONE SAXOPHONE CONCERTO (not orchestral transcriptions please)
- Lose weight (heh.)

Okay, this is just a few (yeah a FEW) maybe add 1 or 2 on the coming days. Yep, I'll try to keep to most of them because like all of them. And all except 1 or 2 are about technical playing stuff which I have to improve on. The lose weight thing .. well I think it's about time la. The baritone saxophone concerto thingy, FIRST - It's for personal uses (training), SECOND - I can't find any on the internet. I found a concertino but yeah .. I can't find it anymore. Ahhh, lack of concertos for such a nice instrument. Maybe going to ask Mr Desmond Ng if he knows any. I hope he doesn't ask if I want to play one .. because I'm not ready to play a concerto or even a solo piece.

Thinking of heading down to library@esplanade today to see some scores or method books. Knew had to register for some membership before I can borrow any scores. But when I wanted to take a quick shower and go, it was already 4.30 and library@esplanade closes at 5pm on Christmas eve. Nevermind then, shall go on Tuesday. Maybe head down after I get the full questions for OM.

OM, arghh so many commitments.

Yeah, I found 1 Concerto, or rather
Konzertstück (which I think means Concert piece), for Baritone Saxophone. Saw the sample, and it was in bass clef?! Composed by Werner Wolf Glaser in 1992 (how coincidental) for solo Baritone Saxophone and streichorchester (whatever the hell that is)

Found out about Rhapsody for Baritone Saxophone by Mark Watters but unpublished. Heck, Rebroll by Salvador Brotons wasn't even published.

Heard about the album 'The Solitary Saxophone' .. had 1 recording but it was just a bari sax playing long tones - crazily.

Actually, I'm looking for solo pieces with wind band, but alot that I found are for bari sax + piano. On my web surfs for bari sax concerto, saw a comment saying there's this index where they have sax stuff ranging from baritone sax concertos to chamber groups. Queer.

Also Saxifrage Blue by Robert Linn, unpublished.

yeah... that's what I could find in a period of an hour. But can't be bothered to find more. Gonna ask Mr. Desmond Ng the next time I see him.

Day started off terrible, ended quite nice if I do say so myself.

Title-less (so contradicting)

ahhh super bored right now.

Just realised, I have nothing much to look forward to. Just the first day of Secondary 3, SYF, future MYE (and I think by now I'm too far ahead).

The whole Nov-Dec hols, I focused myself on yesterday .. but it's over, too fast apparently. So yea, just awaiting for January the third aka school (I think it doesn't start on the 2nd)

It's funny how we played La Passio de Crist, which is Ferrer Ferran's Symphony No. 2, on Symphonie II. Or was it meant to be that way? So I wonder what's to played on Symphonie III? Mahler's 3rd? Heh.

Just waiting for the first person to upload Symphonie II pics on their blog/friendster and RECORDINGS! It was professionally recorded I think, that should be the use of that long pole and the guy at the side of the hall with a computer. Think it will be released on a disc like Dunman High (had La Passio de Crist, Euphonium Concerto and Trittico on it) or something.

AHHH BORED AND HUNGRY.

where's my din din?

Investment to be made (this is also a link)

I think I want to invest in something.
After yesterday.
The Pro Tec PB311CT

The website states it's $269, which I assume it's in US dollars. And Accent is the official distributor of Pro Tec products. Don't know if I should go so far, maybe should check it out with them. And I checked with them about a Selmer S90 mouthpiece, not gonna be shipped in again and it was $300! AHHH so ex. Maybe check with BandWorld.

PEOPLE, BUY SYMPHONIE II TICKETS.
PLEASE.

Company Christmas Party for mum

first ever straight forward title.

anyway, Mum came back from her christmas party at some hotel. Man, Linklaters is a good law firm/company ever to give such a great doorgift.

wondering what's the doorgift?

well it's

small,

cool,

vivacious,

grey,

sexy (er yeah),

... i'm running out of words

a spankin' new ...

2GB Apple iPod Nano (with new generation earphones)
okay, maybe some of you guys have received better gifts .. but this is the first for my mum basically. My 30GB is better ~

Oh yeah, the theme for the party was 'Casino Royale'. So naturally guys would wear a tux and the ladies would, quote from my mum; "wear something low at the front and at the back". heh.

I'll post some pics that she took, though she took less than 20 pictures. parents.

don't you just see them appearing in future James Bond flicks?

a female colleague of my mum's dressed as a Russian.
probably a spy or somethin'

Do you see 2 people standing out from these 4? By the way, the guy with the suit really looks like a future Bond aspect.

Yeah those 2 guys, I was like LMAO-ing and ROFL-ing in my seat. Hey this is James Bond, not Spy Kids. But nice helicopter hat though. The other guy, wore like a billboard type of thing with the words CASINO ROYALE AND HOTEL | LAS VEGAS STRIP-something, man didn't know lawyers that outspoken. I hope someone makes a movie called 'Fuck You' so I'll follow his ideology and just have the move title on my shirt.

And I don't know why most of the photos were focus on these guys.

This shot, you can clearly see that helicopter on his head.
Please understand, people DO go undergo 2nd childhood. Just that his, is rather bizarre.

So yeah, after the end of all the revelry, there was an award called 'Bond of the Year' award given to the most Bond-esque person there (that's what my mum said anyway) Some dude won it. He looked somewhat like a Bond-y.

Mr. Bond-of-the-year raises his award. You can see the Russian wannabe chick and that Spy Kids dude.

"HEYYYY, WHY DOES IT SAY 'Women's Champion Volleyball Team 1992'?"

So pose for the camera, Mr Bond.

I'm cool *guffaw*

Stare fear in the eye, until he cries and runs away screaming.

AHHH, so many roadblocks in life. Man, I was contented with life ever since I got an instrument to perform on and obviously, after finding my lost booklet.

Now, I have a transportation problem and money problem. For the money bit, I have to pay Melvin and Ken Ang's ticket tomorrow! ARGH, that's $24. I have like $26 with me. Transportation, trying to figure the perfect to bring it to SCC and back. I don't think I want to take 74 from Montfort, rather from Hougang Interchange. So must leave at around 10mins earlier. Then, take 169 when I reach AMK. It's around 45mins from AMK to Yishun on 169. So 25 minutes from Hougang Interchange to AMK, and 45 minutes .. add some waiting time blablabla takes around 1 and a half hour. Usually it takes less than an hour to reach SCC (sometimes not because of waiting for 169 at Yishun) .. so have to leave the household 30 minutes earlier, around 7.30am? I NEED SLEEP, PEOPLE.

okay, gonna watch Yuan Ze University Symphonic Band play Fantasy for Euphonium by Philip Sparke and Clarinet Concerto also by Philip Sparke. Heard the first part of Mvmt 1. Giocoso, the clarinetist is good. Also heard that the euphonium soloist isn't good. Heh, okay off from the computer after the vids, and let my bro have a whack at the computer.

Read this

(erm, the title is a link to an archive. Click it)

Back from Republic Polytechnic. Man, I was in the right direction, towards RP, but I confused myself. By the way, RP is HUGE.

1 block of RP is like 1 MSS. But can't compare a polytechnic with a neighbourhood school, right?
Anyway, my phone died along the way, so took a long time to find the 'band room' of RPWS. I think have rehearsals at a vacant spot. And it's freaking cold. So yeah, collected the Yamaha YBS-32, I think it's a custom made saxophone, from Aizat and went home. Took a cab because it's very heavy. A $11.20 charge, thought it would be like $20+. Saw Hougang Avenue 9 only like after 10 minutes. Thanks uncle of the green cab, if you are ever reading this.

Anyway, my Windows XP is now Windows Vista! Not the OS lar of course, just the look. But Glass2K kinda irritating, it just makes you able to see through some windows. 'Transparent' (not really a correct term though), but Internet browsers aren't 'transparent', so far Windows Live Messenger is 'see-through-a-ble'. Like glass (hence Glass2K) Anyone want the client to install this theme just ask me online.

Okay, sleep.

3rd one yay

so, I found this website which has some tips, more or less.
and I want to make it all clear, to myself, personal usage thing.

URL : here

those bracketed, italic and in red are my responses.

Vilson05 :
when attempting to connected to windows live messenger I receive that error (81000306) (I did too) i go to troubleshoot and I get a hosts file that needs repaired. (yes) I did have an older version but recently upgraded to WLM 8.0 (been using it before I reformatted my system) and still get that error. I've even went into my registry and deleted all entries related to msn messenger (haha, stupid) anybody have suggestions?
p.s. my aim messenger and yahoo messenger still sign in and work perfectly fine. (dont know about this, have been an MSN-junkie since P6)
Vilson

Philip :
Hi, upgrade to the latest version of WLM8 (build 0812) (yes mine is build 0812) and see whether that helps.(no it doesn't)
Also, please see my post at http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/wi...-problems.html and give it a try.
(I don't get 1603 whatever)

princeG :
Hi Vilson05 (and Alif), sorry it took a little while to respond to this. Try the following suggested solutions:

Make sure you have installed the latest available updates for your operating system. For Microsoft® Windows® operating systems, website. (I figured I needed Service Pack 2, I've updated it and I'm running SP2 but hey I'm typing this)
If you are using a firewall, make sure that MSN Messenger is allowed full access through the firewall.(yes) For more information, see the firewall documentation.
Verify the Advanced Connection settings for MSN Messenger.

If your computer is part of a corporate network, contact your network administrator to make sure that the network allows access to the MSN Messenger service.
If you use a dial-up connection, the connection may be timing out. Try to connect again later.

Also i advise you to see with the windows FireWall to see if the MSN is authorised to connect if yes try to see if the PORT# : 1080 is authorized to be used . (someone enlighten me more on this PORT thing)

Normally your problem doesn't go beyond these probabilities. (oh really?)

Good luck

Loonyklownz (can't believe I'm gonna take advice from somebody who calls themself that) :
I tried all the solutions and then some...I finally went into Add/Remove programs, chose WLM and clicked on change then repair. (did that) I rebooted (rebooted as in restarted? if yes, doesnt work, if it isnt restarted .. what is it?) my system and so far so good. Another trick I have done was completely uninstalled and reinstalled WLM, but that was a temp fix (done it 3 times) for about a week at most. I will keep you posted if the repair option works..so far so good.

Elainewantsitfixed :
yes, I got the same response when trying to sign in. It said my hosts file needed to be fixed and would I allow msn to fix it. I said yes and that didnt help one bit. Then I get the same error and I troubleshoot and there is NO PROBLEM with it, (YA LOR!!) but it still wont sign in. So I go to the add/delete and do the repair thingy on it and that still didnt help. (I'm beginning to share her problems) It finally told me that msn wasnt available and to try later......but the status board said everything was stable and running. (I think I'm in love) yea, right. Trillion is looking really good about now.

And as for being leary of tamperingItalic with the registry, get "jv16 power tools" from macecraft and it will do the trick for you. I have been using it for years now and it has never screwed up anything on my computer. Keeping a clean registry helps the computer operate faster also.

dvelez1985 :
It's a glitch by wlm on some peoples system. I got that for a few days but then it started to work fine again.
(this guy makes me stay optimistic)

Psycho :
If you are using Zone Alarm, update it. That solved my signin problem.
(but if a person doesn't have ZoneAlarm? okay I do have ZoneAlarm, I have the the executable to install ZoneAlarm Internet Suite or something like that. I hope you're right, Psycho.)

These are posts on this error on the blueball forums. I'm seriously hoping dvelez1985 is right since he's a senior member at the forum. And his post aren't off topic-y. I do intend to make a thread on this in SGBANDFUSION, I hope some tech pros are they to help me solve my problem.

Gosh, I am making such a big fuss over such a trivial problem.

LOL.

EDITED - 1.40am Dec 14

I realized something.
It's not only Error 81000306, it's also 81000314.
CRAP.

But this is hope. If maybe the ultimate error is because of 81000314, I'm gonna solve it.
But most of the error messages are 81000306-related.

Where are the msn geniuses when you need one?
