Melvin Ho will quote this, fo shizzle.
Before you leave the earth for good, do you want leave something behind?
Imagine people mourning your death, not just close friends and family, but everyone. People you don't know. Of course, you won't know if they're mourning for you, but I'd guess it will feel great.
This is a random musing.
I want to compose a concerto for baritone saxophone, before I leave the earth for good.
But I think I need to take some course in music composition before I do so.
I don't even know my scales.
I got a YouTube video dump post coming up.

Nothing to look forward to

But sick also must go right? I feel lousy.
Second one was because I overslept. Not a good reason but I overslept, can't do anything.
Again, I feel lousy.
Today, the third time, I woke up at like 7am with my mum practically at my face telling me to accompany my grandmother to my aunt's house for some celebration. First time I woke up early for band she does this. My mum called Ms Ong and yes, set to go.
I'm just waiting what others have to say.
Anyway, I got all movements from Gustav Holst's The Planets Op. 32! Yeah, it's freaking nice. My favourites are Jupiter, The Bringer of Jollity (movement 4) and Mars, The Bringer of War (movement 1). I have the score for Jupiter, now I need 6 more. Anyone has the baritone saxophone parts for Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
One funny thing when I read this :
Uranus, The Magician.
Your anus, the magician. Damn funny hor?
Anyway, I think I must follow Aizat and not sleep later than 12am. Maybe mine push to 1am.
:D
To Joshua Melvyn Pereira :
No.

Idle

Woke up late, at around 12, 12.30pm? And wow, I could smell a nice fragrance from the kitchen. Went out and found out my mum made crab in sweet and sour sauce. Freaking nice. I think the idea put forward yesterday during 'The Castaway'. The part where he's rescued and his guests leave after the party and my mum saw the crabs they had. Humungous legs, and I said "It's a long time since I had crab" and went off to bed.
Thanks ma.
Oh yeah, my grand aunt was there.
Anyway, I've been freaking obsessed with symphonies. I have Ferrer Ferran's 2nd Symphony (La Passio De Crist), Alfred Reed's 5th Symphony (Sakura, which I find very boring), James Barnes' 3rd, 4th and 5th. Very little. I want those Shostakovich symphonies, which ignatius from SGBANDFUSION has stressed alot on the forum. He's like some Shostakovich 5th Symphony in D Minor activist :D But if I stay long enough in SSW, I guess I'll play a symphoy every Symphonie. Ferran's 3rd maybe?
Gonna try my hand at pasta later. The pasta itself and the sauce. AND THE MIXING OF BOTH WORLDS MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I damn passionate about food, cannot ah?
But seriously, yes. Boiling the pasta and cooking the sauce with minced meat. In for a feast.
I got to watch my waistline >.<>
It always seems empty

I don't think the current MSSMB members (the passionate ones that keep track of band music and NOT SSW people) don't know who Haydn is. I didn't know, but I got introduced to this whole genre of band/classical/symphonic/orchestral whatever music.
I'm trying to get more symphonies, especially the current ones. I think Ferrer Ferran has a 3rd symphony, and I'm waiting for Mr Appermont to write a 2nd (I think).
I hope they won't suffer the 9th Symphony Curse. Where composers die and can't exceed writing 9 symphonies. Started from Mahler (Mozart earlier than Mahler), I think. Any composers dare to try?
And I asked Tianze if I could borrow the CC's baritone saxophone back for MSSMB practice and for AMK exchange. The current condition of the school's Selmer USA Baritone Saxophone is practically not good. Low notes are very hard to reach, the thingy that opens up when you press the octave key doesn't work well. And it's very rusty and smelly. A marvel idea that I thought up during the trip back home, in Gerald's car (Oh yeah, thanks Mr & Mrs Lim!) while listening to the orchestral version of Smooth Criminal. I hope they will allow it.
Bubble tea in a water bottle, lol.

Bring back Angela!
Currently Playing : One Man Team - The Makeshift Heroes
just found one more great ska band, again by surfing the 4th wave.
The Makeshift Heroes. horn section made up of : trumpet, alto sax/flute and baritone sax.
used to have one chick tenor saxophonist called Angela but she left :(
she's not that hot, but cool cause she plays ska saxophone :)
anyway history is done and over with. i'm super happy now.
and i was right all along. i knew that the 2 options of essay question was either about the communists doing whatever they did or the reasons for merger. and it came out. damn lucky. but regret wasting my time studying chapter 7 WHICH my history teacher didn't touch on yet it's written on the piece of paper stating what to study.
left with Math P2 and art. i'm 65% ready for math, just do a little revision later before going out at 5 to pass Tianze the ticket booklet.
for art, i seriously damn lazy to even take out the paper from my file.
left with 2 papers, specifically just 3.5 hours. then the teachers will stream us, during the 2 day reprieve. i'll be enjoying myself on thursday at matt's party at his place and maybe going to gas haus for Cut-Outs gig (maybe).
i just have nothing to look forward during the hols. band pracs, maybe OM .. nothing much.
i want sign up for a course, dont know which. been thinking about doing something about the guitar in my room. i bought during 2004, and i havent learnt anything. the other one i'm considering is a jazz saxophone class at yamaha. need to learn both classical/symphonic and jazz.
AND I'LL LEAVE SKA TO MYSELF HAHAHA.

radio music.
Currently Playing : Too Tame - Action League Now!
a new pop-ska machine has risen to the music scene, or rather the Toronto ska scene.
Action League Now! sounds like I Voted For Kodos (also known as IV4K) with a female fronting the band. good combination, with Kristine Kupcake doubling on the flute.
i sound like some lame reviewer, okay seriousness aside. Action League Now! is an awesome band, with a cute chick inside haha. go download the song at their purevolume site here.
i found out about the band when i was visiting the 4th Wave website (online Ska Zine from Toronto) and just looked at the concert pics. just have a look at my links, get the website url and find yourself :)
and after browsing, i also found out ska bands have weird names.
okay, his-toreee

profile hopping on PureVolume.com instead of studying .. much more interesting but the guilt of not studying will rest upon my shoulders and will be the reason i'll give if i dont do well.
didn't really find new bands, just heard them again like The Juliana Theory.
and i also was going through AbsolutePunk, and Sherwood gives out their The Summer EP free!
what else? download of course.
quite good, first time hearing about them.

[it's a different version from Streetlight Manifesto, but still under Tomas Kalnoky]
Catch 22
Streetlight Manifesto
and now there's Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution.
and guess what, they give out their album for FREE! and they encourage you to put those songs you downloaded into your shared folder so people can download off you in a p2p program (Limewire).
pulling your leg?
read it here http://www.acousticbandits.com/
the extract -
Most of us in the Bandits have used file-sharing programs such as Napster, Kazaa and Limewire for years now and it’d be hypocritical of us to try and stop the free distribution of our music. So, if you can’t beat ‘em (or don’t want to), join ‘em! The links below will lead you to the full versions of all the songs on our first CD, encoded at a high bit rate to ensure quality and a pleasant listening experience. Feel free to download them all (unless you already own the cd; there is absolutely no difference between the mp3s and the album versions so please don’t waste our bandwidth) and feel free to share them with whomever you feel might like the sounds we make. Actually, we encourage you to tell someone about the Bandits and tell them they can come here and download the entire EP free of charge. Go right ahead and put these mp3s in your shared folder for whatever file-sharing program you use. Share them with anyone who will listen!
if you're a fan of Streetlight Manifesto, BOTAR is a good ear-pleaser.
