Lethargic

Currently Playing : Celebration Song - Unwritten Law

School is draining everything out from me. After I get back, I can't dream on lying on my bed and just sleep.

Today forced myself out of bed to go for Amath remedial. I usually have those morning moments when I have something on but I'm really really tired so I get back to sleep. I woke up 30 minutes earlier ok. I AM A GOOD BOY :)

But don't really get logarithms. Don't believe that PS really did those sums on his own (PS dont bluff k :p) So for today, nothing much happened. History was more or less interesting. Anything on modern world is interesting but I don't think it would be the same if I elected for elective history. I wouldn't be taught under Mr Yeo and learn all those interesting facts. So thank god for pure history!

I've a bunch of homework to attend to.

school & band

Back to my mundane school life. Have somewhat grasped the fact that school has resumed and I think I'm more focused. Don't want to repeat last semester's vomit-inducing results.

Anyway, I'm in a bit of a situation. Not only me, but for the the twins as well. SWO will be having a concert on the 21st of July, which is a Saturday. SSW will be playing 1 song (Aroldo) on that day. The situation is that MSSMB has practices on Saturdays now. I told Ms Ong about the concert day already BUT I do not know if she will approve of us going for practices.

It's a 3-practice commitment that I have to make. I don't want to hear "Which one more important : Montfort or SSW?". It's like also saying "Which one more important : Mother in hospital or Band?". I will commit to SSW for this 3 weeks only SINCE concert is very very near, then I will focus my time on Montfort band. It's not like the band will dissolve if the 3 of us are gone for 3 practices. If this matter is to be negotiated, the least I could go for is : go for Montfort on the 21st for awhile, then go to Sembawang DEPENDING on what time Mr Ng wants us report at. Or maybe go for the 14th of July MSSMB practice.

This is just a minor issue, but I if it gets out of hand (e.g. posts being involved) then I dunno what to do. The 7th July practice will lack alot of seniors due to Youth Rally. It's also an important day, since I need to bring in the new members and get them acquainted with the places and help them get there. If not, I'm just being an ass by saying "Go yourself". I have my rebuttals in mind. The fact that it's only : 3 practices and not 3 whole weeks, I would do the same if Montfort has a concert and I would undoubtedly go for MSSMB's concert IF it had the same concert day as SSW. The fact that the concert is nearing (3 weeks) and Montfort's performances is practically a month away. I would only be missing 1/3 of the practices.

Mindless ramblings.

trouble o trouble; stress o stress

last friday, Mr Simen finally revealed his culinary skills by fulfilling his promise of making the school some of his curry. It was a live cook out, the utensils and whatnot fixed between the flagpoles and for a solid hour or so, Mr Simen was cooking and playing the guitar. Even Mr Faizan had a solo piece on his own heh. 'Knockin' on Heaven's door' acousically.

Yep so during recess had a go at this seemingly spicy brew. Actually, I thought had to queue for the curry and I don't like queuing for stuff even if it's our principal's special curry. Luckily Terence called for delivery heh. 10 bowls per class, rather small number. So that's about 4 person to a small bowl. Though the main point of the thing is to just taste the curry, but some people wanna savour the whole bowl (some would want more heh). I had a bowl to myself :) It's nice, though I find that the curry got a special 'zing' to it. Can't really put what's so different. Maybe that our very own giant boss prepared this for us with hardwork and sweat (I hope not literally :D)

So today, hmmmm... Mr Simen shared a nice story with us. I vaguely remember what he said though dunno if sharing would land me in hot Campbell's soup, so stay safe. Soo, malay gone (and I have oral tomorrow!) next was Elec. Geog. Got back my test, got 11/15 .. 40% increase from my last test.

Mr Azman is till away for reservist so went for band. Combined and the band has gotten better.. tenorsax, barisax and bass clar got bar 142 to worry. Other than that, my parts are okay already.

trouble over trouble, stress oh stress.
"Secret to happiness, is that I gave up long ago" - some guy

yes I talk about school, since I go to school everyday.

"I'm a bad-ass hunky dude"

today, hmmm, heh .. kinda okay I guess. Ah what the heck, terrific la.

woke up normally, with the thought of school in my mind. was raining so didn't expect a talk from the giant boss. Malay class, got back my test even though I knew I passed. And got homework bleah.

geog .. didn't know why our group didn't have to present our project on coniferous forests. and I didn't know why the groups had to present anyway. imagine 4 people up there, 1 read the whole damn text without even knowing what the hell he's reading. test our oral (G-rated expression please) .. some mad skillz? then got homework also, forgot what it is though. think ex 3.1 or somethin'.

e math .. hmm, not much I can recall from this period. I think I just really slacked. to think about it, everyone didn't have a mood.

recess, had alot on my mind. boring old recess.

physics was damn zzzz. Turning effects of forces I think. The usual "Force = perpendicular distance" or something. Ke Ping really had a field day dozing off in physics. I also dozed off for a few mins.

let's skip english and move on to pure hist. Pure hist was interesting cause now focusing more on Singapore rather than Vietnam. The Rendel constitution, the riots by the communists (or as Mr Yeo refers to as leftists) and such.

no bio today so off to band and trying out the new YBS-62E. It's good. Low notes are damn easy and there's Low A/High F# keys. Now the whole sax section has same models YA/T/BS-62s. All same colour. New horns also. 3 Hanstone horns. Hanstone.. unheard of. New buffet oboe, new Conn bass trombone & I think new Yamaha flute(s). Then after band went home and went to HG Mall to fix my broken glasses and get a spair one. Went to the one next to the dentist, and just got the frame replaced and the spair leave it for another day. Saw Ms. Tan (geo) there also with a male acquaintance haha.

ok soo, tomorrow no p. history and another free period heh.

school is fun (i cant complain much :p)

numbers make you cry

Number 1, AMath sure fail though I know it was easy. I don't mind failing tests (though I'm not gonna take it up as hobby) but I don't like failing tests that people thought that was super easy. Like today's A Math test (and my chem).

Friday, 2 tests. Not so worried about E Math as opposed to Physics which I heard very negative comments about the test. SBQ for physics? 3 mark MCQ .. need to work my butt off to pass this test.

Few more days 'til the end of term 1. Seriously, the days pass by too fast. So, Friday camp till Saturday night. Saturday rest until Monday morning for E Math class (which after that, helping juniors during day camp no.2) Then leaving for KL on the 13th. Then come back from trip, few more days left to study/lepak (slack around) then it's term 2, a warning that SYF/OM Competition/MYE's are coming.

cool huh?

give me a new soprano sax reed

yes, this was blogged at 4.18am

anyway, why am I up at 4.18am? because my dumb-self slept at 9 and woke up at 3.50am.
my cough got worse, there's more phlegm and I have to go to school in another 3 hours+
and there's PE -_- I feel like giving today a miss but I'll be missing science(chem/bio) and physics prac (but it's in the classroom, about SPA)

I can't afford to miss today, and there's SS also .. 1 lesson a week.
my timetable is made so when one misses school, he misses alot of things IMO.
especially Monday (3E2 people will agree)

anyway, today got ensemble/quartet scores! YAY! compensate for my stupid arrangement of When the Saints Go Marching In. Fly Me To The Moon and The Entertainer. Fly Me To The Moon is SATB/AATB and The Entertainer is erm .. Sop,Alt1,Alt2,Alt3,Tenor,Bari,Bass ..
The Entertainer looks easy but Fly Me To The Moon sounds nicer and has more appeal. but dunno which sec 1 like slow smooth jazz.

lucky I woke up at this hour. I need to rewrite my compo, write a possible journal entry, do chem (I THINK) and drink more water.

; and I also think later got OM..

Apothegm for the day - I need sleep.

2nd day of school, still surviving .. barely. my eyelids were starting to get heavy during physics and bio maybe because it was boring or maybe because of my serious lack of sleep (had only 2-3 hours of sleep yesterday night) dunno if I'm gonna survive this academic year.

so far, my sitting partners are okay. only one is beyond my control (meaning, I didn't choose to sit with him) but he's okay. his name is russell (how many 's's or 'r's, I do not know). so sitting with him for assembly and english (since both periods are with mrs. lee) chem and ss with poh shen, physics with gary and bio with melvin. so far so good I guess.

anyway, on to my favorite topic but it harbors bad news. 1.) heard we're gonna have practices on saturday and scrap off wednesday and friday's practices. meaning, I have to quit SSW; 2.) ms ong wants us to quit SSW, as said by aaron. may not be true, but if we must focus on SYF, I don't mind asking for a leave until SYF is over.

now it seems the politics at mssmb has gotten bad.

quickie

just a quick one before i head down to Sembawang CC for SSW sectionals.

i got back my results and i'm posted to 3E2! YES, i'm contented.
but at the spur of the moment when mrs tan was handing out the papers, i was thinking of 3E1 just for pure sciences sake, but who cares .. my goal is achieved and i'm happy.

same class with : [band] Ivan, Gary, Gerald & Melvin (that's all)

[2E3] Poh Shen, Ivan, Gerald, Shawn, Zhen Hui & Louis

my class seems okay, the form teacher ... warned by seniors so i'll wait and see.
Zhen Hui is dumb by opting for Art when he could go to 3E1. dumb dumb.

my subjects :
  • English
  • Mother Tongue (Malay)
  • Mathematics
  • Additional Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Combined Science (Chemistry and Biology)
  • Combined Humanities (Geography and Social Studies)
  • History
:)

Hieros Gamos - not just sex.

freakingly weird day. i woke up DAMN late, at like 8.15am and rushed to school. my first ever time rushing to school. i knew i was gonna be late but i still rushed and the back gate was locked by then so i had to run to the front gate. but like halfway, i could hear Mr. Wu over the PA system, that's how loud the PA system is. so i still had a spark of hope so i just ran. the councillors were going out to check for latecomers already and i ran. i made it but thought i was late because the song was going to be over but i realised that it was thursday and lower sec had to line up at the quadrangle.

thank god.

the whole day was crap, shan't elaborate further. the only thing good is the percussion thing at the hall and Ms. Foo taking the class. she said "I dont like boys who talk very loud." and i said "Teacher, you think we like you meh?" damn funny. and she doesn't know what an iPod is! has she been living in cave or something. which person above the age of 13 and below the age of 30 doesn't know Apple's famous iPod? anyway Uno + Matthew's iPod, best post exam activity ever in MSS.

at home, just slept alot. and i woke up late for *buka (breaking fast). i woke up at 7.15pm, nice one lar. after that, just slacked. felt like sleeping, but just watched tv. used computer, songs .. damn.
really need to get that video card pronto. i need to play AoE 3, which i still dont know if it will work because i registered with that product key.

damn no CSI tonight. so bored. but still, there's band tomorrow at 9. i dont feel like going but i have to practise (though FOTF and Concerto D'Amore is freakishly easy) and get my mouthpiece and scores for SSW the next day.

oh ya, DROGBA THE MAN. 1 - 0 BARCELONA HAHAHAHAHA. shevchenko is like useless man. i am a chelsea fan but i dont like that Shevchenko hasn't made a really positive impact on the team. 1 goal with various appearances sounds like a midfielder not a striker. but still, he is a Chelsea player and Mourinho wont just buy him because he's the best Ukranian player (i think). i'll wait. he has 52 or 51 Champions League goals so i will wait (i sound like Viktor Navorski)

i think i'll be gettin my iPod in a few days time, either online or go to an iPod store.
okay, i feel like spoofing one more time, just a small one.

XBox. i'll own.

if anyone guessed who i spoofed ... then good lar.
if you think i spoofed you, then err ... sorry or whatever.

rant & vent

didn't feel like posting anything because, like, my results weren't what i intended to be.
some were surprising, in good & bad ways.
i only know the SA2 marks for English and Malay.
76% for English (my first ever A1) and 60% for Malay (my first ever B for malay)
the rest are MYE results which sucks also. like lit & home ec.
really dissapointed with literature and home economics. both B4s.
i can't really be like all depressed because there are people worse off and still not sweating up bullets about their average scores, they play and it's because there's no exams.
now i know, NEVER STRESS YOURSELF WHEN EXAM'S ARE OVER. EXAMS = STRESS, so yea.. stress after the big stress is over is like bad.

anyway, band resumed and i have MSSMB-rehearsal lag. i dont really have the mood for MSSMB but it is the first above all because it is where i started (quote Gav) yea and this week, already 2 pracs. 3 more (including SSW) and man, am i tired.
it's a tuesday, and i love tuesdays because my fav show is on at 11pm.
i am freaking tired but yes that show keeps me awake. it's like waiting to break fast, i will always wait.
i'm impressed at the band today. Concerto D'amore (that freaking piece) was well done for a small majority. and FOTF was great man, the trumpets excelled fast for that 'duet' with euphonium.
mr gavin made the sound nice, and today's band was more fun.
lol, no mr sukit?

now awaiting for my art result, and C5 is the highest i can expect for such a piece.
calculate the marks with SA & CA and whatever (i seriously dont how the hell they get the final marks), maybe can get B4 la, but so, erm .. high.
malay, should be a C5 or B4 if they calculate the marks with the idontgetituseusiccus theorem
anyway, i just hope i get in 3E2, after consultation from seniors ..they say i have a chance.
even if i get into 3E3, i have mapped out what combinations also, no POA and triple humans.

one A, 6 Bs. nice one lar.

UOM, hopefully.

it sounds so cliched and yet it's too true.

just got back from science remedial orchestrated by mrs j.tan
clarified quite of the stuff from the first few topics (1 - 6) like how for chapter 2, the smaller the particles the faster the movement. and menstruation (i was clueless).

so have to mug x10 but i have to be in bed by 11 (thanks daddy-o)
start mugging at 6 (i need my Ellen DeGeneres(: ), stop 7 for dinner, and continue.

bye.

the last few hours.

12 hours from now, i'm gonna be in school .. not gonna mug my ass off, but being calm and collected.
even though it's english, my once ace subject, i'm still gonna be careful.

went to tim tan's house to study, but 25% of time we studied. really a waste haha. but was okay, did some stuff, and thank god there was tuition so i did learn some math.

study sessions for this week,
- tomorrow with Caleb, Guna & Ivan Ong at some deserted place doing math & home ec.
- thursday, still pondering about this : 1.) Teach tim tan or 2.) join Caleb and gang. doing science
- sunday .. ANYONE WHO WANTS TO FOLLOW ME TO NLB BISHAN FOR HISTORY, TAG ME .. 5 people limit because
in this case, too much is not fun :)
- and whenever caleb and gang has math, i'll follow.

i'm gonna do a mock math paper and go through the science check list before going to sleep.
no more late nights .. as an RJC student told me before, 'sleep is very important'

girl with the twirl?

Currently Playing : Like A.M. Radio - Northstar

the girl with the twirl ringtone,
i think the whole song has a subliminal message to it.
it doesnt really appeals to anyone or does it? some girl with the ^^ face and her wrist is literally spinning 360 degrees with spring onion in her fist.
and the song itself sounds weird, so weird that it'll stay in your head ... damn.

anyway, didn't study much today.
only studied on the way to tuition and back home. go the Mr. Simon Bryant's tips on summary writing paper, funny piece of paper but it'll help my summary writing.

NEED TO MUG ...
though, my science knowledge is improving, so's my maths 'skills' (fo shizzle).
i dont want to just pass my maths, soo .. B3 - A2 ftw.

seems a little cliched, but being positive helps.

policework

Currently Playing : The Spark (1902) - Catch 22

by the way, BOTAR's version of Dear Sergio is err ... passive.

after 2 weeks of studying, i have been neglecting my homework .. seriously.
got study but never do homework. at least i passed my CA for math, thank god for projects!
today wasn't really my lucky day.
i slept at 1 yesterday, and woke up at 4.40am for sahur then i slept after that i woke up at 6.40am with the intention of going to math remedial. then i slept again BUT woke up again at 7.10 so i had time i bathed and it was already like ...7.25am?! so cant go already la, then i wore my clothes and went to pack my bag THEN i slept again ... like what the hell?! woke up at 7.48am (i remembered) then the asshole in me decided to SLEEP again THEN I WOKE UP AT 8.10am ..

i was like, "oh fuck."

rushed to school, lucky not late. other than that, i have to complete my math journal and probability worksheet 2 by tomorrow, chapter 15 of science textbook and finish revising science (left 1 more chapter and gonna revise through), math (havent touched it since), history (alot la) and others ...

EOYs : 2nd October - 11 October
MSSMB Practices Resumes : 17/18 October
SSW Practices Resumes : 21 October
SSW Concert : 22nd December 2006

i think my holidays will be oh-so-boring.
anyway my OM group is formed ... kinda.
we prefer BK to CL, so we'll wait for BK's answer.
So we have:
Matthew (L)
Alif (V.L.)(again)
Justin
Shawn
Gregory
Patrick
Christopher/Brian Luke

ok done.

anagram

Currently Playing : Shotgun Serenade - The Juliana Theory

nothing has been done in past 2 days, so really gotta study.

profile hopping on PureVolume.com instead of studying .. much more interesting but the guilt of not studying will rest upon my shoulders and will be the reason i'll give if i dont do well.
didn't really find new bands, just heard them again like The Juliana Theory.

and i also was going through AbsolutePunk, and Sherwood gives out their The Summer EP free!
what else? download of course.
quite good, first time hearing about them.

E equals to MC little two.

this is not malnutrition

Currently Playing : Into Chrome (Trombone duet) - Phil Castillo

didn't study anything today. was too weak to study, no nutrition haha.
so slept to pass the time by.
i have 4-5 chapters of science left to go, so i'll dedicate most of my study time today to science just finish them off, and get info on the un-ticked ones on the checklist.

my sleeping hours are getting out of shape.
i sleep at 12am or 1am and before the fasting month, i usually wake up at 7.30am - 7.45am.
now, i still sleep at 1am, and i wake up at 4am for sahur and i dont sleep.
that's 4 hours of sleep?! i do sleep in the afternoon for like ... 5 hours.
but yea, that's 9 hours total but i dont think it works that way?

man, i want the exams to end ... no more guilt of not studying, slacking the whole day, play the saxophone and i better get a good game (no more CMs!) so i can concentrate lol.
and i talked to my mum about getting a Yamaha saxophone (range 2k - 3k, not sure alto or tenor) and her response ... "we'll see"

we sure will.

ska and exams.

Currently Playing : Party Song - Catch 22

3 more hours to sahur (the last meal before we start to fast) and i'm not sleeping,
the amount of work i did today is freaking humiliating on my account.
imagine simple math problems that won't cost you more than an hour and i just finished it ...
and i started at 12pm.

gonna work hard still, science test on monday and a malay test on wednesday that i've got to pass to break even.

i can't wait for band practice to resume. montfort band practice (but of course i also can't wait for SSW to resume too)

i wanna bring home the alto sax. i'm in the ska phase that i may never break out of.
and i'm getting tabs from HornTabs.net and ska's the only genre i've listened to in the past few days (except for Love Me Butch's Hollywood Holiday)
i dont know whether to bring home alto or the tenor.
i've got to admit tenor appeals to me (for some reason) but alto sax has more tabs.
there is the Julius Keilwerth tenor sax, used to be for Karthi's usafe before passing out.
and there's my old alto, before i went back to the bassline.
maybe both? i dont mind. i just dont want to be pelted with ivan's seriously-makes-no-sense phrases. nevermind.
i bring home alto sax on the first day, and the next practice .. the tenor.

damn, i miss holding the saxophone.

like orwell

Currently Playing : Rocky - Catch 22

just cleaned my room. before cleaning, i bet i can get a slot on How Clean Is Your House?.
now all the clutter is gone, it's more spacious no
w and a better enviroment for studying and whatnot.
in a few more months, the couch in my roo
m is gonna be gone and the floorplan of my room is gonna go back to the original one. in place of the couch is a study table (i hope).

okay, a few hours back, i went for the school's mooncake festival celebrations. wasn't that good.
90% of the ones who attended were lower sec (some with parents) and the rest were teachers + upper sec. they conversed in chinese (except for the emcee who was speaking english) so how was i suppose to go along with the celebrations. anyway it was suppose to end at 9.30pm, i left at 8.15pm :)

okay, it went like this .. right after Matthew talked about the OUTSTANDING cheer then everybody started to leave and the councill
ors allowed it. so i went along la, rather go home than stay there.
when i reached the bottom of the stairs, Mdm Nora asked where we going. i choked up my words and just went with the 'crowd'.

so we just hung around the sheltered pathway next to MJS. they kicked the ball around and i think some were waiting for Louis. we went to block 529 to take pictures, freaking retarded .. the Din pose.

the pre-EOY stress

Current Playing : 9mm and a Three Piece Suit - Streetlight Manifesto

i wanna get into 3E2, and with every day that passes by i feel like it's nearly impossible.
i'm not sure what grade do i need to attain in mathematics to at least get a place in 3E2.
other than that, science is becoming harder and harder. Nutrient Cycles, can be easy but the terms the process ... too much for me.

it took quite some time i before i understood the venn diagram questions.
the ones where A ∩ B and A U B. make it A' or B', it gets complicated but still quite ok.

so i want 65 - 70 for math and i will be elated.
top it off with a 65 for malay, i'm in heaven.
science, A2 ... beyond heaven?

goes into consideration if i dont screw up art and history.
and i just realized my mistake for the electives paper thingy.
i opted for pure history. baaaaaaaaad choice.
so if i get pure history, i think i'll have to take pure history + elective geography + SS.

shouldnt look so far into the future, mug now.

little things can kill me.

Currently Playing : Gilgamesh Movement 1 - Bert Appermont

i think it's safe to pull another all-nighter =/

slept after school again, and i woke up when my brother told me my tutor was here already.
damn, and Caracal was playing in PureVolume.
so i grabbed my stuff quickly and headed for the dining area (sounds like the distance from my room to the dining area is like far)

so earlier today, basically after the science thing .. OM was the main topic.
Mrs. Cass Tan was talking about forming an OM team and she sounds like she was enrolling us in her League Of Montfort OM Squads.
it sounds like a sure-fire National win (keyword : sounds) but i rather just to work hard and get what we can get. Matthew has his eyes set on first place, but i think group first, fantasizing later? lol

currently our group has 3 people with 2 pending members. 1 student coach and one teacher who sure sounds like she's interested to take us as her group (not Mrs. Cass Tan)
we're gonna take a question which requires acting because one pro-active group of people grabbed the technical question. and there's one technical question! another one is like a hybrid fusion of 2 elements, not outweighed by each other.

damn, no studying so need to make it up with an all-nighter.
factors to be considered to have an all-nighter (alif ver.)
- a small mediocre tv set in your room
- nice tv programs from 11pm onwards
- put your mind into the future and consider there would be MINIMAL interruptions.
- coffee (i'll do with one cup, with sweetener.)
- light snacks

varies with other people.
