I must say yesterday was a relatively unproductive and overall, a bad day.

The drill trainings were of course part and parcel of what was bad, but still, it was good. But I think that holding the sax is much more easier than holding your hands together. It gives your mind to fixate on something else. Well of course I can't say much about the tubas.. well yep.\

The other thing was that bringing home the 'Horn' alto was pretty much a waste,at first. I finally figured the obvious problem. It wasn't much of the sax, when it was more on me. My embouchure is suited for the bigger mouthpieces .. so wasted air escaping from the sides of my mouth. But I still dunno why I don't have an airy sound on the sop.

The only thing that made me glad yesterday was Joel telling me he finally he figured out the first part of Wolfe's quartet. That would make any senior proud (or me at least), I let him take responsibility of his own part and he did it.

He's gonna do great things.

THE REAL IMPERIALITY HERE

I can't believe Friendster now allows its users to upload a thousand freakin' photos now. Wasn't it like a hundred just last month?

I mean, who has a thousand photos to show to the whole world? (statement not for pornographers, voyeurs and insane people who have 40gb of photos) I barely hit 50 photos, which is, actually alot.

I still remember when you can only upload like 6? Now it's a thousand? A THOUSAND PHOTOS, PEOPLE.

SO REJOICE! PEOPLE WHO HAVE A THOUSAND PHOTOS TO SHOW THE WHOLE WORLD, YOUR PHOTO CAPACITY IN FRIENDSTER HAS INCREASED TEN-FOLD.

btw, brought home 'The Horn' alto sax (a Trevor J. James production) It's very airy, and I don't think it's me since I sound okay on the Yamaha/JK saxes. But it may also be the mouthpiece. Anyway, the low B and Bb is, well, 'un-playable'. So much for an 'SL instrument'.

So anyway, today's drill trainings was tiring.

I think by tomorrow I can't lift my arms already.

Dunno why I've been very tired. My classes have end relatively early this week, so no reason to be that tired. Also, feel that I've been getting sick. Lucky for the Hub la hor, minimal movement.

Ahhh, I prefer staying in a classroom rather than moving around every lesson. Maybe I just prefer staying at the Hub. Class kinda bonded, have more fun etc.

One more thing is, as some people would know, I'm not happy with that particular chorale member. Yes, I have my utmost respect for the chorale, no mistake about that. But I don't think if you're going around saying the band sucks is really the most socially responsible thing right? If you get your kicks by stirring up trouble, please go ahead, stir up some controversy BUT PLEASE LEAVE THE BAND OUT. If a band MEMBER has done something to you, please settle your differences with THAT guy and don't insult the group, all 50 of us. So if you really think we suck and can't play a tune, think about this... Can you be better?

Just got back from Resonance (aka St Gabs band + vocal ensemb concert) It was very good. Even though I went for their band, their vocal ensemb were the best in my book. One thing that really amazed me was that their oboist is also their saxophonist. And that fella is good at both. He played the solo for 'I want to be loved', and he even played the oboe solos in Danse Bacchanale (if I'm not wrong)

Very tired. Still got bio and emath homework to do.

btw, I'm still alive. Turns out that I handed in my O2. Raided my room for nothing.

When crossing the road, moving towards school, dunno why, but just felt the day would be a good one. And it really did was a good one. I didn't pass my Amath test but it's my first time getting a double digit for an Amath test. And yes, a 36% improvement since the last test. So yep, that kinda made me happy. Probably because I kinda listen during class la. So gotta keep it up.

There wasn't any geography and the sub actually thought we were the history elective class and he wrote damn big on the board '3E1/3E2 GRADED TEST'. Many of you can guess the immediate response. Then about a half hour later the substitute teacher for the history elective class came into our class... meaning the hist elective class must've been making a ruckus in the Hub. So yep, most of the time we were just talking. So in Bio, Mr Azman left us alone since he had to tend to some stuff, the class made quite a din la then he scolded us. But I actually did "some" of my work, so I don't feel the guilty "pang".

Recess was spent chiong-ing my emath and I was damn worried because I didn't bring my Emath book. Then English, sat outside class BECAUSE to take a test. So didn't have to be inside with them. But the thing was, since there was a visitor coming to the school (dunno why there have been many coming to our school) Was just worried if they were to come by the Hub at the moment of time. Talk about first impressions huh. So yep, the test was okay la. Emath learnt bearings but I didn't get caught for not bringing my textbook so saved for the day.

FIrst time I get to live such a happy day.

But tomorrow.... sigh

1. I like math.

Very hard thing to comprehend if you know my math results. I dunno lar, maybe not Amath, but I like Emath. It's easy at times, makes me feel good when I do alot of questions at once and get it all correct.

2. I HATE action/thriller movies

Because I don't a see a point to it. It's always about the spies and their normal life and then they get a call from the CIA/FBI/Some secret agency head officer, who always has a moushtache and will never be happy with the guy's work.

The head honcho says there's some conspiracy in a country that doesn't exist (usually in kid-based thrillers, if there is .. one) Then there's always a hottie that's an agent tagging along (the guy always say something sexist in context and the hottie will display her martial arts skills and whoop him in the nuts). In many a times, they should've been killed but producers must always follow this Hollywood Action Movie Rule : "20 men cannot kill 1 man, but 1 man can kill 20 men". In the end, the hottie gets captured by some evil guy in the movie who, most of the time, speaks with a British accent. The guy always escapes from the evil guy's dumb minions, who are really bad actors, and saves the girl. The evil guy either i. dies or ii. runs away or iii. both, the hottie and the protagonist either makes out or in an alternate ending : the hottie is unconscious and gets sent to hospital, and the guy will always feel ok and will have a talk with his boss, walking slowly down the path, which medics in sight.

I know I'm badly stereotyping movies here, but who cares?

3. I know most people that know me know this - But I don't see the point in MMORPGs.

An epiphany happened I think when I was in Sec 1? It's just games that you level up, and level up, buy stuff, then level up, level up, level up, level up... and it goes on. Especially stupid, if you pay $10.50 for virtual items that you can't touch with your skin.. which will be gone in a month. I pay $20 for pizza, but hey, at least I tasted it. I paid $15 for a reed, but at least I sucked, licked and blew (into) it. I wasn't trying to use sex to make a point.. but, it's a band thing.

4. I'm procrastinate alot.

5. I feel the only way to deem a movie is the funniest, is to watch it 5 times, and see if you still laugh.

Self-explanatory. And now I question myself, is The Simpsons the funniest movie yet? So anyone care to treat me to another Simpsons showing so to make my point? I'm free tomorrow.

But maybe a cartoon that has been running for 17 seasons ... should be funny la.

6. I don't like sleeping late.

Understatement of the year. The guy that sleeps at 2am everyday (school night some more) says he hates sleeping late.

7. I only like 1 type of comic book - the funny ones.

Which means I hate Batman, Spiderman, the whole Marvel lot, manga etc. I like Zits, Peanuts, Archies, Foxtrot .. funny, just the way I like it. I mean, thrillers are boxing in at the box office, so please stay away from the paper & ink.

8. I only like 1 type of cartoons - the funny ones.

Please, action in cartoons? I think Keanu Reeves is covering enough of that on the big screen. Speaking about cartoons, we live in the age where liking Spongebob is cool. Even though you don't watch it, just say it's cool - and you're ... "cool".

9. I hate Marvel movies.

Read #2, #7 & #8 and you'll know why. It's a well known fact that Superman has been scrutinized about how it runs around with his red undies showing. I don't think a big picture remake would be the best thing... because in real life ... wait... what I wanted to say sounds crude.. but let me just refer you to a link, to make a point :

10. I don't get Lord of the Rings, The Matrix & Star Wars.

I can't say I hate it. Because I'm always asleep by the 10th minute of the movie. The movies are really hard to comprehend with a small mind like mine. But at least I know roughly what LOTR and Star Wars is about. Can someone summarize what's the Matrix about in like .. less than 50 words? (Your Answer here) ... I thought so.

...... ok, 11. I like crime dramas.

Though my enthusiasm for CSI has died down. But hey, those that use minds and hardcore interogation (not meaning to sound sexual) and not cramming oneself in a lab.

Went to the movies today.

Dunno why but Gary & Fikri asked me to go. Seriously, they really wanted me to go so I jokingly told them I would go if they paid for the ticket and my lunch - which I did not expect them to actually agree to my dumb conditions (no take backs already)

So yes, a free movie - AGAIN. The last 2 movies I watched also free. Gary had to treat me to lunch, but I owe him $6. So, to pay back the money, he didn't have to treat me. And also, another condition was that I didn't have to pay for the St. Gabs concert ticket money which he already paid for! Good lar please. But I did spend my fair amount of money. A $6 lunch, a $3 candy bar and a damn fricking small packet of M&Ms (not expired, I think) and a bottle of Green Tea @ A WHACKED PIRCE OF $4.50!!! THE M&Ms were like $2 AND THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS THING WAS THAT THE $2.50 WAS THE GREEN TEA! In school it's $1.20 (or $1 at the old vending machine) I think some popcorn combo would be more worth it then King-sized crunchie (which I dunno why I keep buying when I dont like the caramel in it), a teeny packet of chocolate balls and some drink that (supposedly) kills sperms.

Rush Hour 3 is great. Dunno why critics just like to put down quality shows like these. Makes me wonder if the company's paying them top dollar to put down nice films and raise popularity with bland titles. Reviews are just opinions of some guy who is deemed 'El mucho greato' (I made that up, fyi) so you don't have to freaking swear by it. Maybe I should just read reviews and if they it sucks, then it should be the best movie ever made.

Other than my random rants, I've just finished practising my sax for a solid hour. Realized by self-practise sucks. I set up my horn, blow Concert Bb, check for sticky pads, rush through the scale and repertoire. Dude, no basics lar. Maybe I'm to accustomed to the an Eb horn rather the current Bb horn with me now. Like I'm being re-programmed or something. Scared I memorized some cheem 6 sharped scale then when I transition .. good game lar.
