So empty, now what?
I woke up late.
I'm filled with chagrin.
But found out Mr. Gavin wasn't there. Not even Mr. Pisit.
Edward was the conductor. But that's not a reason to skip, right?
I have came to realise,
there's 5 types of band members.
1.) The Gary
Comes for band every single practice and will do anything to keep other activites out of the way just for the sake of practising. Will attend even if they're close to death, and will die a peaceful death, keeping in their mind, "I'm gonna die but at least I practised Flight of the Falcon." This is a GOOD band member. Set for a major post. And yeah, brings home their instrument every practice.
2.) The Zhen Hui
Comes to band practice. Will go when he can, but when not there has a good reason. Maybe a future major. Brings home instrument once in awhile. This is still a GOOD band member.
3.) The [name deleted]
Attendance for practices are 60% - 90%. Plays okay, still has alot to work on. Will give excuses if he/she doesn't attend practises, most of the time not true. Usually comes late. But works the extra mile sometimes. Brings home once in awhile, or sometiems never.
4.) The [name deleted]
Comes 2 times every 4 to 5 practices. When attending practices, an Andrew would usually :
- Leave early
- Gives reason not to fall in
- Slack
Comes to practices when close to a competition or concert. Touch instrument once in awhile.
and last ..
5.) The [name deleted]
Is a band member but doesn't come for practice. People doubt that they are still alive. Never touch instrument for 5 months, then touch for 1 hour before leaving.
I hope I don't become anything lower than the Chuan Yi :)
Anyway, I need to understand 6/8, 7/8, 6/8 + 2/4, 5/8 + 6/8 time better. I'm too used to 4/4, 2/4 or whatever is _ /4. Now I also forgot about 2/2. Dammit. Triplets also.
My first symphony, need to do well.
32nd NCO POP, then to SSW.
g'bye.
