Oh hey.

yes, i know. it's 4.27am

had SSW practice yesterday (technically speaking) and yeah, it was okay.
started off with sectionals, and there were only 2 saxophonists present.
me & elaine. mainly worked on POC mvmt 1, the running notes part.

then combined and did okay, still can work on it ALOT.
went for lunch, ate with Cheng Fu and sat down to listen to the conversation Mr. Andrew Ng had with Cheng Fu. after lunch, went for combined band.
this time, i was the only saxophonist left. great.
movement 3 .. i was lost. then after Mr Ng went through the parts with us, yea i finally realized.
i need to concentrate more.

left the music studio at 5+ then waited for a bus with space for all the people.
the SSW people missed like 2 buses. then after getting on the bus, dropped at Northpoint.
went for dinner, then i went to Plaza Singapura, headed for Yamaha.
was finding that Scales & Arpeggios book Grade 1 - 8 for Saxophone.
then i saw like a High School Musical songbook for various instruments.
there was a horn, tenor sax, trombone & violin book, if i'm not wrong.
a whopping $23. never. never. never.
but i found something else that was also published by ABRSM.
a Specimen Sight-Reading Tests for Saxophone book Grades 1 - 5 and 6 - 8.
at the back, they showed various books ABRSM published.
and ASSOCIATED BOARD WOODWIND SCALES AND ARPEGGIOS : Saxophone Grades 1 - 8 was just there to mock me further. and i found a Tuba version of that scales and arpeggios .. nice, mock me some more.
i contemplated on whether to get the Sight reading books (both 1 - 5 and 6 - 8) or just 6 - 8.
but i flipped through the grade 1 - 5 book and i couldn't even understand the further grade 3 phrases. so then, it was eith 1 - 5 or 6 - 8 together. i'm not sitting for any ABRSM test, but i'll do for some sight reading exercises. but a $25 odd investment when i'm already low on Hari Raya cash. heh. and i still owe NWO $24 for the chalet.

new bed :) lol.
