Less than 12 hours to the performance. Not nervous, just some small scale performance. SO 3E2 please support me and 7 other of your classmates ok!
Anyway, Mr Sukit talked about the ensemble thing and about the audition in September for some concert, not too sure on the details. So I'm happy to say that I declare the section competition POSTPONED. I'm waaaaay happy if it's mixed ensemble.
I think I was the first one to form the group. Mine's a quartet, with Terence, Darren & Joel. We should be playing Wolfe's Quartet, movements 1 & 2. Some challenging pieces for them to try, aside from the very draggy Montfort repertoire. I'm gonna print out the scores to let them try later during the break.
So after this performance, no more practising with the saxophones (except Darren) Yep, a breathe of fresh air. Finally.
Anyway, Baybeats was ok. Really changed since the one I attended in 2005. That year, didn't really know much. Only knew Electrico, and I was at their set. I also watched Copeland! Free somemore, way better than Mercury Rev ($38!) Alot of moshing going on, especially during Blindside. Didn't join, cause it's much more entertaining watching them hit each other, then run away, then join back, then eventually some get sent out.
Don't know whats the real point of moshing or hitting each other while listening to the music. If it's appreciation, how does hitting each other, banging your bodies and getting lifted up in the air help you appreciate the music. Must have some super duper good attention span lar, then I cant say much. If it's fun, you all damn extreme la hor. For me, you want have fun (and sweat at the same time), can just play Third Symphony over and over again. Very fun.
So yep, got my Plainsunset album (though $20) and honestly, the band I enjoyed listening to the most was Lovesong, others was good, but Lovesong got very little movement behind me.
